Our Mission Statement
The Russell/Muscogee County Chapter is a non-profit organization that operates to support the University of Alabama.
We wish to foster fellowship among all the Alabama alumni and friends in the Columbus, GA/Phenix City and surrounding Chattahoochee Valley area community.
The Chapter supports the university academically by assisting with the recruitment of area students and funding scholarships to attract the best students from our area high schools.
The Chapter promotes fellowship and professional development of the local university community through events that connect alumni and university supporters.
Who is Thomas W. Starlin?
· National President in '57-'58
· received his BS in C&BA in '34
· his JD in '37
· Delta Chi, ODK, A-Club Football, SGA, ROTC and Million Dollar Band
· Served on board of Chattahoochee Valley Alumni Chapter
Our local scholarship fund is named the "Thomas W. Starlin Scholarship" , in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Starlin. The fund is fully vested. Thus, the Russell/Muscogee Country Alabama Alumni Chapter will be able to offer local students scholarships in order to attend the University of Alabama. .
